Giving Vision

(formerly known as books for blind)

Date: Every 1st and 3rd Saturday for each month

This is a collaboration with Malaysian Association For The Blind (MAB) 
The volunteers will be involved in: Audio recording, translating books into Braille and engaging with the blind community

Locks of Hope

Last event date: 29/8/2017

A project to raise awareness on the plight of cancer patients undergoing chemo as well as raise funds for Malaysian organisation. Moreover, there will be on-the-spot haircuts carried out and the hair which you donate will be made into wigs.

Women's Aid Organisation

This is a project aimed to educate children about personal and environmental hygiene. We also conduct other activities like games, art and craft activities and creating DIY T-shirts.

Ripples of Touch

Last event date: 5 October 2017

New project of 2017! Ripples of Touch is a project aimed for partially sighted and blind students studying in Secondary Schools. The aim of this project is to help these students gain the best of education using special teaching materials such as Tactile Diagrams and audio books. We Community Service Club is helping to prepare the studying materials for these students.

Play, Learn, Grow

Every Saturday

This is an English tutoring project that takes place once every fortnight, on Saturday. It is currently held in Ti-ratana, which is a large orphanage with more than 100 children. If you are interested in working with little kids, this is the project for you!

'SMILE'

Every Friday nights

SMILE (Service to Mankind: Illuminating Life Everyday) is a project initiated to

reach out to the underprivileged community by assisting PERTIWI Soup Kitchen in providing

basic meals to those who go hungry because they simply cannot get food or proper

nutrition and free medical services for those who have no access to healthcare services.

Those in need may include children, parents and the elderly.

Agathian Shelter Tutor Project

Every Saturday

New Project of 2017! Remodeling of PHT.

The targeted community is children and teenagers of age group 4-18 who do not get to experience the normality of a childhood that exists under a roof with constant parental presence. 

Volunteering to spend time with them once a week for two hours and establishing a close-knit bond through our tutoring ways with the children is our main priority. 

World Vision 30-Hour Famine

Last event date: July 29 - 30 2017

A World Vision program in which CSC is looking into collaborating with First Aid Club to provide 10-15 first aiders to help out in Famine 30. Years 2 -3 students from Medicine course are needed.

PROJECT CONNECTED : SRI LANKA

Last event date: 31st July - 7th August 2017

 

This Sri Lanka community service trip requires committed volunteers who are keen on experiencing the rich culture of Sri Lanka through volunteering in the rural villages.

Shramadana is the noble endeavor of offering one’s strengths and commitment on a voluntary basis to the welfare of lesser privileged communities in Sri Lanka.

Volunteers will also have the unique opportunity of helping with a mobile medical screening on a van in one of the rural villages of Sri Lanka.
